I am speaking typically of information deficits and intercultural misunderstandings. You should talk to me if you want to gain a better understanding of your opportunities in Germany, and you value a local’s help in finding buyers and potential business partners.

In Germany, clear messages are generally expected and appreciated; ambiguity makes us nervous. Nevertheless, I am hesitant to tell you to “just be blunt” because there is a fine line that can be easily overstepped, resulting in you being perceived as rude. And, if you are talking to your boss, that can be a totally different story... #businessculture, #crosscultural #communication and #career in #germany

"Mahlzeit!" What...? That's what you might hear a lot in German companies when people go for lunch. No harm done, when you don't know this. But, as a new entrant to the German market, you may face some (other) very common pitfalls; the good news is that they can be quite easily avoided! I am speaking typically of information deficits and intercultural misunderstandings. You should talk to me if you want to gain a better understanding of your opportunities in Germany, and you value a local’s help in finding buyers and potential business partners.
